Jill Peterson, based in Atlanta, Georgia, has been designing and constructing for classical ballet companies and contemporary dance since 2006. In 2015 she designed costumes for Dance Canvas, Atlanta, whose mission is to provide opportunities and venues to increase the appreciation and awareness of professional dance in metro Atlanta. She has designed costumes for dance departments at Agnes Scott College, Brenau University, and Kennesaw State University, and taught costuming and sewing seminars to dance majors. She is currently costume consultant for a student’s Dance MFA Thesis at Temple University. Jill received training in construction drafting at the U.S. Engineering School in Alexandria, VA. Her Army engineering experience, as well as her previous work as an interior designer, assist in the problem solving aspects and intense details necessary in costume design. Jill enjoys the collaborative process immensely, and is thrilled to be working with the artists of Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers!
